Hello, I'm Sophie and I make contemporary handmade ceramics from my small studio on the outskirts of Exeter. My unique and highly decorative work is inspired by the beautiful surrounding Devon and Cornish countryside. Influenced by traditional English slipware, my pieces feature rich painterly surfaces and warm earthy colours with intricate engraved details. They evoke feelings of days spent in nature, of overgrown gardens and wildflower meadows.
